TEN MINI-BOOKS
Two books focus on each short vowel a, e, i, o and u. Each eight-page mini-book includes a cover, word preview, five short story pages and an adult-read question page. There are 20-31 story words per book and two text questions per book. These are short practice readers, not full-length storybooks.

CHECK THE WORD PREVIEW FIRST
Use after the consonant and ALL short-vowel spellings in the selected book have been taught. A book's vowel focus does not mean that every word uses only that vowel. Each preview lists every CVC story word. Additional words a, the, is, has, to, and, in and on are disclosed per book for adult review or support. Proper names use capital letters.

TEACHER SUPPORT
The eight-page guide includes vocabulary notes, a lesson routine, the full text of all ten stories, twenty question answers, printing instructions and a reusable reading-note sheet. This is supplementary practice, not a complete curriculum or standardized assessment.

PRINT YOUR WAY
Choose Letter or A4, color or low ink, and one of two layouts:
- Cut and stack: print four landscape sheets single-sided for one book, cut the center, order mini-pages 1-8, then staple or clip.
- Folded booklet: print two duplex sheets per book, nest, fold and staple using the guide. Test your duplex setting first.
